Well, it is what it is, great examples of academic art (neoclassic,
romantic, etc.) and now, of course, appear somewhat formulaic, but
beautiful nevertheless.

dynamic, innovative art that followed as a reaction,  Impressionism and
beyond, so it could not have all been bad.
