The one I like best is the cigar smoker in profile, fresh smoke from the cigar curling around in the air behind him, its invisible source adding a bit of mystery to his contemplative appearance. I think profile portraits have a revealing and vulnerable aspect that frontal portraits don’t. Nice study.
