I guess they water what's left of the cars and let them grow ... ? One of my daughters taught at Marquette some time ago so I had a chance to visit the place. We loved Milwaukee, my wife and I. There was a series of outdoor concerts in a park, downtown, next to the river. It was in August. Very pleasant. JM

I live in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee. It's made up of various
ethnicities with a mix of working class people, artists, students, and
progressives (my house is two blocks from the Socialist Party of Wisconsin
headquarters), and seen as an artistic area.

There is a house on the main boulevard that features partly-buried
automobiles in the yard. When the trees are green and the sun is out the
shadows and contrast obscure the effect, so with the overcast today,I
finally got some good shots.

This is the first of nine views, with the last showing more of the street
environment. Can be enlarged.
