Since my (few) traveling days are behind me, I'm still thankful for the
special experiences that I did have (without crowds). Riding a motorcycle
from London to Cambridge to Liverpool and on the Isle of Man (for the TT
races); almost getting lost driving across part of Scotland on a
single-track road at dusk; walking through the forest near Melrose to see
the William Wallace statue all by myself; and best of all, climbing alone
to the top of Silbury Hill in Wiltshire before access was restricted.
