There's an article on local newspaper on how a few local geeks managed to
get one of the "spare" Apollo XI computer to work, after 50 years!!!

They ran simulations on it, including simulating the descent conditions,
and sure enough the computer rebooted multiple times just like it did on
the Moon. Armstrong could have aborted the mission, but I think at that
point, he was probably thinking, I could die a hero, or go back home.
