The last installment from my South Georgia trip is a large one, so please
bear with me one final time. The landscapes of South Georgia are so
striking and so grand in scale that they literally beg for the multi frame
panorama format to do them justice. However, I did take some single frame
shots as well:

Clearing Storm:

There are innumerable icebergs around this area, affected as it is by the
cold waters of the Antarctic current, as South Georgia lies on the inside
of the Antarctic Confluence. The first photograph has a bizarre cloud
formation, and I would like to know what it is, if anyone knows! The second
was at sunrise, and the rest were taken in overcast to dark, stormy skies,
giving a dramatic effect:

The next section is details of icebergs:

Penguins and terns are seen on icebergs - not too frequently, but the
sightings are not rare:

Finally, and lastly, some shots taken on a sail up Drygalski Fjord, a
dramatic but short inlet which nevertheless boasts of two glacier mouths,
the Risting and Jenkins Glaciers, which is located at the south eastern end
of South Georgia. These glaciers were joined till the 1980s, but have since
meandered apart:
