No, it is not a fanboy site, but they post rumours gleaned from sources
within the companies, and also run similar sites for Canon, Sony and Fuji.
If you had followed the links given, it would have led you to these two

There is very little doubt that Leica screwed up big time with this
unnecessary short film, not so much for lack of due diligence, but for
imperiling their own goodwill and possibly some access to their biggest and
most important market, China.
