Hi Jim,
The Fuji set weighs just over 5 pounds and the Nikon is just over 7 pounds - so yes there is a weight saving.

Hi Howard,

I've been curious about that lens.? Your images are impressive. I would 
suspect that the Fuji setup is considerably lighter than the Nikon, as well.
