[Leica] IMG: Restoration of "Mister Douglas" Continues

Don, I don't belong to the group doing this, so I don't ask too many
questions.  When they were here last Fall, they told me they had located
two zero-time engines and had purchased one, with donations, and were
raising funds for the second one.  Apparently that came to pass.

I have heard that the US supply has just about been exhausted, and the
engines are being salvaged from crash sites overseas.  I haven't tried
to substantiate that.

"Zero-Time" is FAA nomenclature.  It means that the engine consists of
parts that meet original specifications, showing no wear or
deterioration, and is supplied with a zero-time log book. For these, it
can be very expensive.
