I have had a Nandina hedge hiding my AC unit from sight for many, many 
years, and there has been a wild rose growing in there for most of that 
time, but it has always been just a prickly nuisance.  This year, blooms 
have appeared.  Here is an image that shows the various stages of the 
flowers.
