Just as long as your monopod does not look much like a surface to air missile launcher it should go through fine.

And there is a MyTSA app that you can download onto your phone that lists
everything that is allowed so I will be able to show it to the TSA agents.
I know the monopod will fit under the seat or in the overhead bin - it's
really very small when it's collapsed.
I guess I'm going to risk taking it! Of course, TSA only covers USA
airlines! We are flying Delta for most of the way.
