As you know, the M240 shoots colour .dng files so either the camera has to convert them to b&w or I do. The b&w jpegs give me a good guidance of how the b&w will look, and I can either use that or go back to the .dng. Also, unlike you, I sometimes shoot a colour image although most of what I now do is b&w.
