Some really gorgeous photos in there, Howard! Reminds me of my float-plane flight out of Ketchikan, Alaska.

Have you tried applying Photoshop's Dehaze, Clarity, and Vibrance filters under Camera Raw to get rid of the atmospheric overlay on the contrast and color of the scenes? I tried applying them to screenshots of several of your scenes, and got some striking changes in contrast and saturation that I would regard as improvements in that they removed the effect of atmospheric haze. Better results would undoubtedly come from using the original image files. Some may regard this as fooling with reality, but is it wrong to get rid of air pollution, even if it’s mostly natural?

If your goal is to duplicate reality rather than to enhance the esthetic appeal of an image, YMMV. And it’s certainly possible to overdo these effects in PS.

But as far as I’m concerned, PS can be sheer magic in its ability to enhance images and even turn un-useable scans into pleasing images, as I’ve done with some of my own slides. I’d be interested in knowing what others think of PS in this respect, especially Tina – I think I see the fingerprints of the Clarity slider in a lot of her work.
