but they're artfully constructed, Tina, and, if you lived a hectic
lifestyle on the expensive border of Central Park, New York, you
wouldn't care a whit about anything but his burgeoning reputation as you
caught that precious five minute respite from mercantile mayhem gazing
raptly at a Crewdson filled space on the wall of your $50M duplex
penthouse. In fact, looking at his "Ray of Light" ($35k for top estimate
which covers 20 square feet), you'd be chortling quietly to yourself as
you contemplated that 20 square feet of floor space in your delightful
apartment would cost $165,280, and there you are having the work of the
de rigeur photographic artist of the recent past, the moment, and the
foreseeable future inhabiting a section of your personal space. What is
not to like?
Maybe the next thing you do do is to call up your friend of a friend who
happens to be the editor of the CNN Style section and push them to do a
piece on the bould Gregory. The world will keep spinning upwards then.
