I don't have experience with Lightroom or plug-ins.

I do editing, cataloging, and add Metadata & Keywords in Bridge and only
use the Basic Sliders, Crop, Graduated Filter, Detail, HSL/Greyscale, Spot,
and Sharpen (not each on every image).

Then in PS I only use Burn, Dodge, Clone, Heal, and Sharpen (not each on
every image). I've used layers so seldom that I forget how to do them.
