The original manufacturing product from the Leica Portuguese factory was mechanical watches, before Leica bought the factory.
I am only surprised that the current offerings are not "produced" there as well..... 

Made in Portugal does not have the same panache as Made in Germany.....?
Ditto Made in Switzerland?

Brand extensions are so ... complicated.... and make no sense to the outsider.....

The rest of the new product offerings from the opening of the Leica Park, seem so .. dull....
