[Leica] The Perfect Leica Acessory

Chris,
Not particularly crazy - in effect Rolex is the best mass manufactured
watch in the world, with exceptional quality control and reliability. The
precision engineered and  exquisitely finished Grand Seiko are even better
than Rolex in quality, but at a lower price point, but will you pay $5000
or more for a Seiko? We really should stop confusing quality with price -
the latter is all due to branding.

Leica is just indulging in brand extensions at a price which they feel that
the brand can bear - a sensible business approach that is definitely worth
a  try. I expect them to expand the offerings if they feel that the
experiment is a success.
