[Leica] Monday Misc.

Good morning. Late last week one of the older oaks on a neighboring street
fell victim to age and rain rotted roots. It fell over a relatively main
road taking out the power lines and blocking traffic; fortunately there
were no cars or pedestrians under it.

First, the power company has to cut power to the live lines.

After the power is cut, the scene must be surveyed and restorative action
planned:

Now the real work takes place as a tree removal service removes the tree;

All told power was back on in about five hours although the street was
partially blocked by tree remains for several days thereafter. It is a
shame that expediency prevented the use of the wood from this 75ish old
tree for creative or constructive uses.

All the best.
