[Leica] Yet another LR question.......

Reading the digest, maybe this has been said.  LR panoramas & HDR are RAW 
files since LR6.  A big advantage over PS.   DNG is RAW.  Whenever I do 
this, they end up in the same folder as the source files.  Off list, Frank 
said there was a bug in a previous version of LR that did this, so it may 
have returned.

You cannot have created * RAW * panoramas, Frank. The resulting file must
be a JPEG, TIFF or DNG. Can you see such in your portable drive? You say
the panoramas are visible in the "new" catalog - what do you get when you
select "View in Explorer"? Assuming I have the command phrased correctly.
