For now fall back on zone focusing. Work on estimating distances, using
moderate apertures and wider lenses. If finances aren't strained you can
order an M2-6 and have it shipped next day air. This will work even if you
are traveling to another location: you will just need confirmed
reservations.
This way you will have the time to repair your camera; however
repairing/replacing a rangefinder might be as expensive as a replacement.
