One of my acquisitions over the years was an Alpa 6c with 50mm f/1.8
Macro-Switar. I finally got around to buying a lens adapter so I could try
this
lens on my Fuji. This is one of the first set of pictures done with it. I
pumped up the clarity to give me the mood I sought, so this photo doesn't
reflect the creamy bokeh that the Switar seems to have. This is at f/8.

This lens was celebrated in its day as a stellar performer (touted as an
apochromat) but in some resolution tests I did against my Summicron DR and
f/1.4 Zuiko, it came in a distant third. The Summicron just edged out the
Zuiko in detail, but had lower contrast. Both were much better in the
corners than the Kern. But for actual picture taking, I'm going to play
with the Macro-Switar some more. The close-focusing ability is handy.
