Odd, it is usually still near the top of tests if it is included.  They have updated it in the S 120/2.5 macro (96mm equivalent) which by all accounts is the most outstanding lens in the S range (I use it ~80% of the time).....

I think it’s thought of as 2 or 3 or 4 generations ago; whole “classes” of glass ago. That’s just too long a time to compete with all that’s gone down in optics I think.
I think if Leica comes out now with a 100 macro it’s going to be not in the same league as Nikon/Canon the price will reflect that. But not one them make 31 years ago. Nostalgia just doesn’t fit in there.
