[Leica] Big SL Lens ( DIameter) explanation

My SL 24-90 jammed when I was in Iran.  It would not zoom at all.  I sent a
panicked e-mail to Leica and they responded immediately.  They had had two
lens that had that problem.  The guy that worked on them talked me through
how to tug on the lens hood to get the zoom to unstick.  It worked and I
did that for the rest of the trip.  When I got back home, the lens went to
Leica NJ where they fixed it permanently and shipped it back to me in less
than a week.  It hasn't jammed since then.
