Thanks, Philippe, but I don't cover the details the way Doug does.  He 
would have the bird perched on a natural, dead branch, as if it were in 
the wild, not on a cheap, plastic bird bath. But, it is challenging, 
working at  the limits of my equipment. This was at 8 feet, likely at 
f/8, with a DoF of less than an inch, with SS and IOS at compromises.  
And, the focusing was done before the bird arrived.  It's the way I keep 
the 88-yr-old grey matter working. :-)
