[Leica] Need help/advice with M4 Slow Speed Issue

fast speeds fine

slow speeds when released by the shutter are not working properly (CLA needed, not uncommon)

HOWEVER

when I use the self timer the slow speeds are fine timing wise

was this a ploy to force us to use self timers and tripods to prevent camera shake but with wizards of Wetzlar

Advice on solution would be welcome
