Yes, the train is a nicer choice to DC but comfortable only if you can
afford to travel 1st class. Otherwise most afternoons there isn't a
seat available.

This is the same weather that kept my son on the tarmac in NYC (don?t
remember which airport) for 3 hours. He was just going to DC?should
have taken the train instead.
