Hi Jim.
Whether you had to squiggle back & forth to acquire the excellent focus point was well worth your excellent result! Almost as if you were looking through a microscope?
Good on you for putting in the excellent effort!
It does pay off sometimes!

Using 2 extension tubes with the 135, I looked around for subjects and 
found this Potter Wasp momentarily visiting a Sedum bloom.  The limited 
focusing range forced me to focus by moving back and forth, which is 
unhandy and inaccurate, but I got an image of an insect I had not seen 
previously.
