[Leica] IMG: An Older Leica Lens

Hi Jim.
I had that 250mm lens also. But traded it when I purchased the 280mm 2.8. It was pretty good
also. However the 280mm 2.8 along with the extenders was just incredible and blew everything else out of the water. :-) I used it 99.9% of the time hand held with a shoulder brace, pistol grip and motor drive SLR.
Once you had the rhythm of handling it? It became a piece of cake handling it with sports events and crowds!
However these days???????? :-) I have no doubt it would be a "bit of another story?" :-)
cheers,
ted

Subject: [Leica] IMG: An Older Leica Lens

Years ago, I purchased an older Leica lens from a former LUG member in
Nashville. It is a 1980 Telyt-R 250/4, a generation earlier than the
APO lenses. Tina's shots yesterday with Ted's great lens prompted me to
drag out the 250 and visit the butterflies. I mounted it on an old Star
D tripod and took it out to the Buddleia bush. Here are my favorites.

Monarch:

View them LARGE if you like.

Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated.
