Too true, Jim, but curiously enough in the other terrorist killing
yesterday in Marseille, France the youngish person "Of North African
appearance" only killed two people, while the much much older white
person beat him with fifty nine dead so far and five hundred plus
injured. Mind you, the retired accountant did have the advantage of an
arsenal of firearms while the younger "ONAa" only had a large kitchen
knife. Is there anything we can learn from this? Apparently no, as the
obvious seems to be too unpalatable in the US. However, perhaps, just
perhaps, the lower death toll just could be because legal limitations on
firearm ownership are stricter here in Europe.
Naturally, the tragedy will be regretted, but the same words will be
trotted out, and forgotten. Then in a few months, maybe a year, some
other loon will try and go for Paddock's record, and the same words will
resound again, and similar inactions will follow. Here in the old world,
we all stunned that this sort of thing is allowed to happen without any
corrective legislation being implemented that might forestall such
horrors. We are bewildered by the complacency, and indeed complicity of
of US politicians and their influencers.
