[Leica] M(240) issue

I have been using my M(240) quite a lot recently with Leica R adapter, 60mm and EVF. I got a low battery/change battery warning and changed the battery, however it now shows no sign of life - no red light on the back or anything :(

I left the battery out overnight but no change, anybody else seen this or is it a trip to the fatherland? I could do with it as an S2 is not suitable for all shots!
