[Leica] IMGS: Not Sharp

I would make sure you don’t have any in your preferences any color noise reduction. It’s very hard to control and I find that with many or most shots its best to have it completely turned off or you get an image made of mush. And your expensive Leica glass becomes a waste of money. I don’t think with full frame even at high iso’s we need it. I think it’s a thing needed for cropped formats. And maybe even then a thing of the past. Unless its smaller than a 1.5x crop.
I think the appearance of sharp noise just like in film sharp grain gives and appearance of sharpness in the image. As that’s what the image is made of anyway. No, the image is not quite made of noise like a film image is made of grain but in a way, it is.

Sharpness is highly overrated. Said HCB who never really need to work a day in his life and who had some other guy do all his printing for him.
