Sharpness “can be” highly overrated
when motion blur, or other “unsharp” effects
are sought to enhance the purposes of the “professional” photographer.

Yet when “unsharp” is simply the result of not getting it “right”
because the swishy pan was improperly executed;
and/or focus was simply missed;
and/or any number of other technical and stylistic errors occur

well then “unsharpness” can become “highly overrated.”

;~)
