[Leica] Canadian calmness?

What strikes me as most remarkable about this scene is the utter lack of curiosity and wonder manifested by a man who considers it more important to mow his lawn (!) – RIGHT NOW! – than to pause for a couple of minutes for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to safely (in his estimation) witness at close hand and marvel at one of Nature’s most fantastic, primordial and dramatic spectacles. I keep trying to picture myself in his position, doing what he’s doing, but I always end up at the fence, spellbound.
Incredible.
Or was the photo staged by the man and his wife as a bit of wry visual humor, and as soon as she’d made the photo, they were both glued to the fence, agog?
