Douglas:

I don't know of any Weston V repair enterprises in the old sod but on
the other side of the planet, I've had both of my Western V meters
selenium problem repaired at Quality Light Metric, in Hollywood California.

The problem is that the seals inside the meters begin to leak in air
after many, many years,

My two were purchased by me in the 1960's and needed repair about ten
years ago. I use them quite a bit in my 11x14 work and 4x5 work. I
think that they'll last a long time after I terminate.

You might want to try them as they do good work.

I can't find a web site.

I have the Weston Master V and the Sekonic Studio Deluxe but both are
selenium challenged and didn't give me the correct readings when I tried
using them on a couple of occasions. I have a digital Sekonic which
works fine but the other two are merely decorative. I did read about the
possibility of using a solar cell taken from a calculator, but it could
be just old wives' tales. If there are any old wives out there, let me
know as I do like tilting at windmills....
