Yes, one's musical history can very well alter your physical
characteristics. While my lower lip is no longer thick in the middle
from a saxophone reed, my right thumb is still larger than my left, from
supporting the weight of altos and baritones during my late teens. I
never put in enough time with oboe and bassoon to really adjust to the
double reeds. And I never got a sound from a flute.................... :-)
