Ripoll is one of the most ancient villages in Catalonia with a great history of kings of Catalonia, it is supposed that the persons with the name Ripoll has a certain commun past with the village, in Catalonia and the territories that they was from the Kingdom of Aragon and Catalonia, we call them here as “Països Catalans” (Catalan Countries) as Valencia and even Alicante, as well the Islands of Mallorca, the name of Ripoll is quite current. Some theories say that maybe belong to the converted Jewish, their name was changed by a Christian name… but I’ve never search the origin, it is too old…
