Thank you for the encouraging words, Gerry and Aram. And that’s a nice capture of the inner corona and prominences, Aram.

I’ve done some Photoshopping to enhance the detail and extent of the extended corona image that I posted earlier, and I’m quite happy with the result, especially viewed LARGE! It’s added to the album here <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/hlritter/Eclipse/CorExtPSraw.jpg.html>.

I’ve never been an eclipse chaser in 60 years of being an amateur astronomer, but I am now. I have my sights set on a tour to Chile in 2019 to see the eclipse and visit some of the Andean observatories, among the cathedrals of astronomy, and if I retain enough brain cells by then to appreciate it, the 2024 U.S. eclipse. Hope to see both of you at one or the other!
