I don't think that your edited image info is lost if you write your changes to the xmp or dng files... Assuming that your other software can read the data contained in the wrapper.

When nextyou open an image, the instructions are opened and acted upon..  All of this means, they own us forever at $10 or whatever they wish tocharge per month forever.   If you stop paying, image edits are lost for ALLyour images. And people wonder why myself, and  Nathan and others hate the idea ofsubscription software..
