Try going into Control Panel > Power Options

You are probably on 'Balanced'?

Click on 'Change plan settings"

Then "Changed advanced power settings"

On my test machine it is set to turn off Hard disk after 20 minutes.......

I am past the allowed time to switch back to Windows 7 easily.  I could download it and reinstall it, but that would mean reinstalling all of my programs.  The thought of that makes me very tired :-(
