>From all I saw by the 1980's what most discerning in the loop very smart and
nice people get on their first camera body and as their normal was a 28mm
and maybe even a 24mm. And that lens whichever stayed on the camera. Not
bird guys of course. I'd guess they'd start with a 300mm and call it their
wide angle.
