I am always sad when the Pink Anomonies make their appearance in my wife Judy’s garden. There are flowers yet to come, to be sure. Spider Lilies, Autumn Crocuses, and Mums to name a few. But, it also means that the generals in command of winter have begun to think about marshaling their forces just outside the garden gate.
