Peter, this is a commonly used statement, but is only partly correct.  
The Ross lens has an 8-inch focal length, so the magnification is that 
of a 200mm.

The crop factor for a Fuji with an APS-C sensor is 1.5.  So, the angle 
of view is that of a 300mm.
