[Leica] I can manually focus more precisely than my A7.......

I find that MF beats AF on my Sony's if the lens is stopped down.  Wide
open the AF usually beats me, but even here, I use it only with the AF
button, not on AF mode all the time.

I also notice a big difference between the really good lenses and the just
not bad ones.

So, you may well be seeing a combination of effects.
