Jim,
The dogs in the neighborhood are too well fed to attack the deer but the coyotes and the coywolves moving down from Canada do a pretty good job of containing them. A couple of years ago we had five deer sleeping in out back yard. Now they have moved on. But last week my wife saw a coywolf wandering in the woods near our house. Coywolves are about the size of a large police dog and very smart. Thankfully they rarely attack people. My LUG gallery site has plenty of pictures of day lilies and deer. But none together.

You sound a little bitter, Larry. You could invest in a large dog................... :-)

Thanks. Once you find a spot and plant them, they come back every summer.

Unless the deer eat them. We used to have a yard full of day lilies, hostas, and other assorted plants. Then the deer moved in. The only thing a hungry deer ignores is a concrete patio block.
Eat more venison.
