Hi Gerry,
Man one just has to take extra time to look closely at this series of most interesting "BLACK & WHITE" photos!
It's all  about content and they need not a drop of colour for any impact or anything else!
These photos and the event have absolutely nothing to do with "COLOUR!"
You want to capture the "VISUAL IMPACT OF THE CONENT!"
And you good Sir have just done that very well! :-)

I spent a day shooting at the New Forest Pony Sales and have posted one or two, but I have now collected them all together in a gallery. They were all taken on a Leica M7 using the 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 using Fuji Neopan 400CN film (C-41 process) and then processed through Lightroom using the ‘B & W Look 2’ preset because I liked the gritty look of the images. I appreciate one of the images is soft, but I liked it. Please look at the whole gallery:
