I looked up the V8 Pilot on Wikipedia and the front grill is totally different. It was the first post-war Ford made in the UK and I would have known it because the Ford bodyworks were about 200 meters from where I lived. In fact my father worked there for a few years as I recall, as did many of our neighbours.
