I have no idea bout your question, here I’ve found some information in English

"The names is derived from the tradition of the "Tres Tombs" parade going around the same route three times”, but I don’t know why in the origin was three walks….

I’ve found some explanations about the historical origin of this tradition, everything I’ve found is in Catalan, they relate that is a tradition with very old roots from the Roman Empire and even before that it was a tradition do three walks around the sacred places, Temples… etc..
