[Leica] ORDER of CANADA PRESENTATION & PRIME MINISTER of CANADA? :-)

Hi Luis & others,
During all these ceremonies, certainly during the actual pinning on the medal to my jacket and the other folks. No personal cameras were allowed by recipients nor guests.
However the personal Government House photog took many photographs as did the media.
During a couple of receptions behind the scenes some photos were taken.
But even though I had an M8/35mm lens hanging on my shoulder ( I had special permission to have it with me.) That was after I explained it was because of the camera that I was there receiving the award that surely it should at least hang on my shoulder. Apparently the GG agreed! So it went with me . Although I was made aware "not to use it!"
Which I could have and they'd never have known. But that would be cheating and breaking their trust! :-(
"ABSOLUTELY NOT MY STYLE IN LIFE!" So I didn't!
A picture series will arrive in a few days from the Order of Canada office as well as a video. I have a few photos "of the Prime Minister and self" with the 11X14 photo in my computer, but shot by the PM's personal photog. So we'll get those up over the weekend.
I have to honestly say, "never during all my years shooting assignments have I ever felt so completely inhibited in thought or action of clicking the shutter! So I didn't! :-)
Besides I was the subject! :-) A very rare situation indeed!
Pictures to come folks. Hey don't forget I haven't seen them either! So like any subject? I sure as heck want to see them too!! :-) :-)
cheers,
ted OC
