[Leica] Defunct M9

I spoke to my local lab yesterday, and they can process and put straight to disk without the film leaving the machine. This will produce 18mpx jpeg files from colour film. I was looking at getting a film camera as a back-up. Or is a used X-Pro1 and Leica adapter the way to go?
