Thanks for taking it on again, Richard.
I have no objection to the sequencing which should be left to the decision
of the compiler/editor, but do wonder about the life of a paperback as
opposed to the hardback. I'd prefer the hardback option myself. As for PDF,
while it might suit some people, I'd prefer the tangibility of paper.
However, I may be a tad antediluvian in my thinking as I measure in
cubits...

Who finds it hard enough to get two good images these days, let alone three
or four. By all means, let people submit up to four images, but, if they are
doing so, they should be submitted a month earlier in preference order, as
they naturally increase the compiler/editor's workload. If everybody submits
images and there's a surfeit, then the images marked 4, and 3 can be culled
in that order, while the submitter's first two preferences can be printed.
PS or is it PPS?: Editor should always be allowed four images.
